(He/Him)
Hi, my name is Braedon, and I am a graduate level practicum student at Acadia University.
I have experience in the ACT modality and work from a talk therapy approach. I provide a judgemental free listening ear and a space to process what is happening in your life. I have experience supporting individuals through their grief and loss. I have a background in supporting caregivers as they navigate the many roles and responsibilities of the various aspects of their life. I also have worked with individuals who need support managing work-related stress, relationship changes, personal challenges, or general feelings of anxiety and depression.
I am originally from Yarmouth and moved to the Valley to do my graduate schooling. I enjoy watching sports, taking my dog on walks, watching a good movie, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
I grew up on the Canadian prairies and found my way to Nova Scotia through my university education. I have lived in the Annapolis Valley since 2018 and love the beautiful blend of agriculture and coastland.
Through my own personal life experiences, I’ve faced many different situations personally that have shaped me into the person that I am today. Many great people have helped and supported me along the journey. As a Registered Counselling Therapist, I am here to help and support you as you work through your ups and downs.
My journey with ADHD started when my spouse was diagnosed in 2020 with Inattentive ADHD. I became passionate about helping individuals and couples as they navigate what it means to live with ADHD and how to address the specific challenges it presents. Through my own diagnosis of combined type ADHD in 2022, I have come to a deeper understanding of ADHD and how to support my clients with their struggles.
I use a compassionate and caring approach to help individuals cope with anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, overcoming trauma, and the specific challenges that come with ADHD. I am committed to helping people develop the skills, tools, and abilities they need to thrive in their life. I have experience working with veterans, active military members, high school students, university students, parents, grandparents, and those who are both married or divorced.
